Star Citizen · Organisation Tools

Run your orgon real numbers.

Merchantman Suite is a free command deck for Star Citizen organisations. Plan operations, track cargo and ore, keep a treasury anyone can audit, and pay your crew for the hours they actually flew.

What it does

Eight screens, one set of books

Most organisations run on goodwill and a spreadsheet nobody has updated in a month. Nobody is certain what the org is worth, who is owed what, or whether the last run made money. Merchantman Suite answers all three from the same records.

Operations

Planned, crewed and costed

Hauls, mining expeditions, salvage sweeps, escort contracts, bunker work, medical standbys and trade circuits. Each is scheduled with a crew, a manifest and a budget, then closed out with a real profit figure.

Treasury

A ledger that reconciles itself

Income, expense and a running balance, with a category on every line. Operations file their own entries as they close, so the book stays current without anyone remembering to update it.

Cargo Hold

Stock valued at what you paid

Live quantities across cargo, salvage and ore, each carrying its average purchase cost, so the value of the hold is a figure you can defend rather than an estimate.

Payouts

Split by share or by the hour

Start a timed session, record who flew and for how long, finalise it once. Every member sees exactly what they earned from the same page, which ends the argument before it starts.

Shares

Ownership that accrues

Logged hours build a stake in the organisation. The ledger behind every balance is open to members, which makes a share an entitlement rather than a promise from leadership.

Credit

Advances and repayments

Front a member the cost of a run and settle it from their next payout. The balance, the interest and every movement are visible to both sides rather than remembered by one.

Roster

Who flies, and what they may do

The crew list with each member’s rank, their logged hours and their standing. Positional authority is enforced, so nobody can act on a member ranked above them.

Ranks

Named and permissioned by you

Build your own ladder up to twenty-five ranks deep, name them whatever your org calls them, and attach twelve separate grants to each. Nobody outside your org decides who sees the money.

Command Deck

The whole picture on one screen

Treasury balance, active crew, cargo value, operations in flight and a live activity feed, filtered by what the viewer’s rank permits them to see.

Loaded with a sample organisation

This is the working application, not a screenshot. Move through the screens, open the charts, sort the tables. It is filled with generated data for an organisation that does not exist, and nothing you change here is saved anywhere.

Why this one

Built around the money, not the fleet list

Most org tools stop at a roster and a ship list. Those are the easy parts. The questions that actually break organisations are financial: who is owed what, where did the treasury go, and was that run worth flying. This is built around those.

Every figure traces back to a record. A share balance points at the hours that earned it. A treasury line points at the operation that filed it. Nothing is a number somebody typed in.

Permissions are positional, not a checkbox list. An officer can manage the ranks below them and no further. The founding rank always holds everything. You cannot accidentally give a recruit the treasury.

It runs in the browser. No install, no launcher, no client. Members open a page and they are in, on whatever they happen to be sitting at.

Getting started

Three steps to your own deck

01

Create an account

Register on this site. It takes a moment and needs nothing beyond an email address.

02

Found your organisation

Name it, set its tag and its currency. You become the founding rank, holding every permission there is.

03

Bring your crew in

You start with a four rank ladder you can rename and re-permission immediately. Hand out an invite code, or approve applicants one at a time.

Questions

Answered before you ask

Is it free?

Yes. There is no paid tier, no member cap and nothing held back behind an upgrade.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It runs in a browser. There is no launcher, no overlay and no client to keep updated.

Does it read my org from the game?

No. Star Citizen exposes no API for this, so operations, cargo and payouts are recorded by your crew. Anything claiming to pull live figures out of the game is guessing.

How small can an organisation be?

Two people is enough to need a ledger. The ranks, payouts and shares all work the same whether you are five members or fifty.

Who can see the money?

Only ranks you grant it to. Treasury, payouts, credit and shares are all gated behind a single permission that is off by default.

Can I get my data out?

Yes. A full export of every record your organisation owns is one button, and it can be restored over the top.

The Merchantmen

Built by an org that needed it

This was written for The Merchantmen, a neutral trading consortium, because no existing tool tracked what we actually argued about. It is open to any organisation that wants it.
