Privacy Policy

This policy covers two Discord applications operated by The Merchantmen organisation: The Merchant and the Banu Translator.

What we collect

When you use a command, the bot receives your Discord user ID, username, server ID, and the content of the command you sent.

The Merchant stores your Discord user ID together with the records you create, such as trading activity, saved setups, and message activity counts, so the bot remembers them between sessions.

The Banu Translator processes the text you ask it to translate and does not keep it after replying.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data, we do not share it with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling. We do not read or store your direct messages.

Where data lives

Bot records are stored on our own server in the European Union. Discord itself processes messages according to its own privacy policy.

Retention

We keep your records while the bot is in use in servers you are part of, and delete them when you ask us to, or when the bot is removed and the data is no longer needed.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, or ask for deletion at any time through the contact page or in our Discord server.
